USRA Vice President’s Report
4th Quarter 2006

Here in the Midwest the fall chill is in the air. Our test flights are progressing and we are all getting ready to polish some pylons out in AZ. This is the time of year when the championship points become closely watched and many hopes are resting on the outcome of the final race of the season.

All that being said it is also the time for racers to think beyond the Parker race. It is time for contacting your district rep and suggesting changes to the rules. This is an all volunteer organization so it is helpful if you do a little home work before you suggest something that clearly won't fly once you consider all of the ramifications of the rule change. I know all of you have a little pet peeve that has bugged you from day one. Now is the time to make your feelings know so hat it can get fixed for next year. The best way to go about getting a change is to write it out and send to your dist rep. for consideration. Catching your rep as he comes of the race line isn't going to work very well if you are serious about getting a change put through. Next year when you are hangar flying in the pits and gripping about "they should do this" or "they should do that"' look in the mirror you are looking at "They".

I could go through all the pit falls of tech for this race but I will spare you that pain. If the Parker race is your first race of the season do us all a favor and look over the past quarterly reports from this year and you should be up to speed with the technical issues that have happened this year.

Looking forward to seeing you all again in Parker.

Lets Race!!!!

Vice President
